Tournament Overview

Format

The tournament will proceed in two rounds: the First Round will be the “group stage”, followed by the “knock-out stage” in the Second Round.

Match duration

1) First Round (group stage)

50-minute match (comprising two 25-minute halves) with a 10-minute halftime interval. If a match ends in a draw, the match will be a draw.

2) Second Round (knock-out stage)

50-minute match (comprising two 25-minute halves) with a 10-minute halftime interval. If a match ends in a draw, a penalty shoot-out will be used to determine the winner.

Ranking determination in the First Round

Ranking determination

Teams will earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and no points for a defeat. Teams will be ranked according to their total points. In the event of a tie in points, the following criteria will be used to determine the rankings:

a) The team with the greater number of points obtained in the group matches between the tied teams.

b) The team with the better goal difference resulting from the group matches between the tied teams.

c) The team with the greater number of goals scored in the group matches between the tied teams.

d) The team with the better goal difference in all group matches

e) The team with the greatest number of goals scored in all group matches

f) If the tie still cannot be broken, lots will be drawn.

If a match cannot be held or is canceled due to the reasons attributable to one of the teams, the match will be recorded as a 3-0 loss for the defaulting team.

Match regulations

Regulations follow FIFA Laws of the Game 2023/2024 except for the duration of a match.

1) Dimensions of field:

Standard 105m (length) by 68m (width)

2) Goal size:

7.32m (8yards) between the posts and 2.44m (8feet) from the bottom of the crossbar to the ground

3) Team benches:

No more than 11 persons (5 substitutes, 4 officials, and 2 players who do not play at the relevant match) should be allowed to sit on the substitutes’ bench. These must be the people included in the team roster. Also, only one of the team officials included in the roster will be allowed in the technical area to give out strategic instructions.

4) Substitution:

A maximum of 5 substitutions from the list of pre-registered 5 players are permitted.

5) Yellow and red cards:

A disciplinary committee will be established for the tournament to handle disciplinary issues. Players who are sent off the field with a red card will not be allowed to play in the next match. The decision on whether the player can participate in subsequent matches will be made by the disciplinary committee.
If a player receives two yellow cards in the First Round, he will be suspended from his team’s next match in either the first or Second Round. If a player receives one yellow card in the First Round, it will not be carried over to the Second Round.
