Chertanovo Education Center is also known as Chertanovo Football Academy or Chertanovo Football School - is a Russian youth football academy based in Moscow, Russia.The Academy was founded in 1976 as The Sport School of Moscow Soviet Region. It is based in Chertanovo Severnoye district of the city's Southern Administrative Okrug (former Soviet Region).
This Academy develops the young talents from all over Russia and is open to boys and girls from 6 to 17 years. Chertanovo Education Center consists of several units: the Football Academy itself, grade and secondary school and sports boarding. Professional FC Chertanovo Moscow and Women's FC Chertanovo are also included into the Academy structure.
FC Chertanovo is the youngest professional team in Russia. The average age of the team is 18,5 years old. This team plays in PFL – third powered Russian Division.
There are many players of Russia national team from U-16 to U-21. When Russia won European Championship U-17 in 2013, there were 6 players from Chertanovo Academy. These guys are teenagers yet, but some of them play for Russian Premier League clubs.
The youth teams are trained by fully-qualified UEFA license coaches.
The training and education are free of charge.
