Jakarta(Selected Team)
The Jakarta Team is composed of selected players from football schools in the city and in the surrounding areas for this tournament. The team has been training daily thanks to cooperation between the Jakarta Football Association and the Jakarta city government.

Introduction of City
Jakarta Special Municipality is the capital of the Republic of Indonesia and is the center of politics, economics, and cultural activities as an entrance of country. The Republic of Indonesia is divided into 30 states, 2 special states, and a capital special municipality. Jakarta is a capital special municipality, which has equal authority to states and has special function as capital. Jakarta Special Municipality is divided into 5 different administration wards such as the center, the east, the west, the south, and the north.
History
Jakarta was originally a port town located at the mouth of Ciliwung River and was called Sunda Kelapa in the beginning of 16th century. It used to be a main port for the Bajajalan dynasty in Hindu nation. On June 22, 1527, Islamic King Fatahilla occupied Sunda Kelapa and named it Jayakarta, meaning “a great victory”. Jakarta Special Municipality set the day for the anniversary of the founding. In 1619, Jakarta was occupied and was renamed Batavia by Netherlands, which started invading Asia since 17th century. The city was renamed “Jakarta” by the Japanese during their World War II occupation of Indonesia from 1942 to 1945, and it hasn’t been changed since then, even after its independence. In 1999, Jakarta became “Jakarta Special Municipality” and obtained equal authority to states. On the method of writing, the specific name for “Jakarta” has not established in Japanese. There are several way to write, for instance, Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province, and Jakarta Special Municipality. Since Tokyo was aligned with Jakarta as a sister friendship city, it writes “Jakarta Special Municipality.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes “DKI Jakarta Province.”
